Meet April
A little about me - I am an avid reader and a student of words and people. I like mosying through independent bookstores and growing in mindfulness through long walks and yoga videos. I love spending time cultivating creativity with anything from crayons and paper to cooking. I also show up in the world as a wife, mother, daughter, and friend. My love for my people fuels my career in this work. I believe we were created for relationship and that the work toward building healthy relationships is worth the struggle, including a healthy relationship with yourself. I am passionate about wholehearted living and committed to doing that work first myself and then using those principles to invite others on the journey with me. With this, I also use a systemic approach, a focus on attachment and self-compassion, and I believe deeply in incorporating mind, body, and spirit in our work. I strive to create safe spaces for my clients to show up with their whole stories and experience healing and find full life.
Along with my work as a marriage and family therapist, my background includes years in women’s ministry, freelance writing, and working from home with young children. Through the years, I have enjoyed continuously learning and sharing about good books, the Enneagram, and the intersection of emotional health and spirituality. In my free time, you’ll find me curled up with a good book, baking in my kitchen, or riding bikes and playing Uno with my children.
